Using 10 minutes of weekly management meeting time to discuss 1 tip a week from Relationship Management for a year can change your organization’s culture through:
Increased trust
Specific, helpful positive feedback and feedback for improvement
Respect for differing points of view
Use the Soft Response
A soft response defuses an angry attack.
When someone speaks angrily to us, our natural reactions may be to fight or flee. New research says women may more naturally have a third option, negotiate. That third option would also benefit from this week’s tip. Speaking softly rather than responding in kind to anger changes the emotional atmosphere. Once emotions are less enflamed, rational discussion can ensue and mutually acceptable solutions can be found.

"I recall to this date some of the comments he made that have helped me grow as a professional and a service provider. The first was that of, 'Wow customer service' and how everyone was my customer no only the students and graduates I assist but also my co-workers. The other was that of, 'recalculate' and how I have to step back and recalculate sometimes and start again."
